I wouldn’t even guess what kind of wood this is. This stick incense bowl had every “blemish” possible - spalting, punky and worm holes. Crazy to mess with it, right? It is a lot more challenging and time consuming to create a piece like this, but it is so reflective of my artistic ministry - no matter how blemished we may be, there is hope for us to become a beautiful work of The Creator’s art.
